I just created my own developer account on play console, I’m planning to upload my very first App APK tonight. What can be my file’s size when I upload them?
According to Google Developers Documentation, “Google Play currently requires that your APK file be no more than 100MB.”
This is the standard file size limit for general apps/games that you’ll upload to Google Play Console, but if you have any apps which need more storage for graphics and stuff, then:
“However, some apps need more space for high-fidelity graphics, media files, or other large assets. Previously, if your app exceeded 100MB, you had to host and download the additional resources yourself when the user opens the app.”
You might have noticed this when you downloaded advanced games like Asphalt, Call of Duty, Real Racing, and so on… whenever you install the app it’ll prompt you to download additional data.
